DROP DISK 子句可以让你从磁盘组中删除一个或多个磁盘，并且自动的平衡磁盘组。当你删除一个磁盘，Oracle ASM 重平衡所有磁盘数据并且清理那个不在是磁盘组的磁盘头。如果你指定了 FORCE 关键字，磁盘头将不会清理。
如果删除的是 QUORUM 磁盘组或者属于 QUORUM 故障组，那么你必须在删除的时候指定 QUORUM 使用 undrop 子句来取消从磁盘组删除磁盘。你可以取消在一个或多个磁盘组中挂起的删除，或者通过使用 all 来指定所有磁盘组中的所有磁盘。
这个子句不会关联到那些已经从磁盘组删除完毕的磁盘。这个子句会导致一个长时间运行的操作。你可以在 ASM_OPERATION 动态视图中查询这个操作的状态。
