    # Complete these guidelines for designing a website with the correct forms of the words in brackets.

    Functional   功能

First of all, a website must be as easy to use as anything else's. Badly-designed sites don't function as well as  their competitors and so the lose a lot more business.

Another point is that sites that are successful are continually looking at how they can be even friendlier to the user than those that are less sucessful.

    Fast  速度

Customers won't want to use the website if downloading the site is slower than with other sites.

    Familiar 常客

A site which is more original than its competitors may look good, but in the end it will be more popular if it's similar to other websites and users know how it works and what it does.

(Grammar)

    # In some of these sentences much is incorrect or unnatural. Change much to many or a lot(of) if necessary. Put "RIGHT" if the sentence is correct.

如有必要,可将much改为many或a lot of。

    a. We did't spend much money.   RIGHT

    b. Sue drinks much tea.    a lot of

    c. Jim always puts much salt on his food. a lot of

    d. We'll have to hurry. We haven't got much time. RIGHT

    e. Did it cost much to repair the car?  RIGHT

    f. It cost much to repair the car. a lot

    g. I don't know much people in this town. many/ a lot of

    h. I use the phone much at work.   a lot

    i. They've got so much money that they don't know what to do with it.   RIGHT

    # Tips

    1. 这里发现   lots of  和 a lot of  属于相同意思, a lot 不同表示“非常”,并长放于句尾  e.g.   Thinks a lot

    2. 不可数 (noncauntable)   一般用much    lots of

    3. 可数 (countable) 一般用 many  a lot of
