Qualifications
Microsoft’s Foundation Services SharePoint team is responsible for enterprise search, content distribution, portal strategies, and collaboration platform strategies within Microsoft IT. We develop cutting edge solutions leveraging MOSS 2010 to meet the diverse requirements of Microsoft’s internal business portals. The applications we build are customer showcases for how to integrate custom development with MOSS 2010 out of the box features and address such areas as social computing, information discovery, and enterprise content management.
Foundation Services SharePoint team is looking for an Engineering Leader to join the SEP team in Beijing. Working closely with teams and professionals across many countries and many business departments, you will have a large role in realizing the benefit of Microsoft technology.
Primary Responsibilities
· Provide leadership to a team of professional Developers and Testers.
· Lead and manage a team to make deliverables on time, on schedule and on quality.
· Have strong mind and skills to make people and the team better.
· Collaborate across variety of teams including development, test, operations, and business departments.
· Provide direction for system architecture and design.
· Drive the business benefit by utilizing SharePoint and other Microsoft technologies.
Qualifications
· Fluent in English and Chinese. Being able to read and write English is a must.
· BS/BA in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline.
· Fluent written and spoken English and exceptional interpersonal & communication skills.
· 10+ years of industry experience developing software products or delivering enterprise solutions. At least 3 years of experience as a manager or leader.
· Deep understanding of system design and architecture.
· Strong knowledge of application development which solves business needs in a web environment.
· Exceptional problem solving, troubleshooting, planning, and organizational skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related study, Master Degree is preferred.
· Must have experience on full cycle of system development.
· Strong knowledge of RDBMS and SQL; must have experience in C/C++ and/or C# experience.
· Experience on managing geo-distributed teams is a strong plus.
· Experience on SharePoint/WSS is a plus
Education:
· Master degree or Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology or other technical or related field and equivalent knowledge and experience.
