           (rude and impolite: having or showing bad manners)

    7.disconcert

           She was disconcerted when she thought she had lost her baby.

           (to make (someone) upset or embarrassed)

    8.dour

           I wanted to talk to her but was put off by her dour expression.

           (serious and unfriendly)

    9.hallow

           When a statue is finished, the priests hallow it by worshipping it for three days.

           (render holy by means of religious rites)

    10.ravish

           The pervert is trying to hold down and ravish the young lady.

           (to force (a women) to have sex with you by using violence or threat of violence)

    11.dolt

           He said: “He overturned his bowl and hit the floor, such a dolt!”

           (a stupid person)

    12.malleable

           Stainless steel is a kind of malleable alloy that can be easily made into different shapes.

           (capable of being easily changed or influenced)

    13. stipulate

           The confidentially agreements stipulate that moviegoers can not reveal any plot of the movie.

           (to state clearly and firmly that something must be done, or how it must be done)

    14.madcap

           This madcap climber is only happy when she’s taking some kind of crazy risk.

           (very foolish or silly)

    15.vicissitude

           Over time, Chunxi Road has been through many vicissitudes.

           (A variation in circumstances or fortune at different times in your life or in the development of something.)

    16.fumble

           The girl fumbled in her bag for some small change.   

           (to handle something in an awkward or clumsy way)

    17.cajole

           Bad guys like to use candy to cajole little kids.

           (to persuade someone to do something or to give you something by making promises or saying nice things)

    18.flaccid

           Exposed in the strong sunlight for too long, the lily looks flaccid.

           (not firm: not hard or solid)
