About Truffler
Truffler is a solution for building advanced search and querying functionality for websites and other data centric systems. It is provided by the Swedish company 200OK AB. The company was founded by three passionate developers in 2011 that had all been solving similar problems for customers over and over again.
We decided to solve it once and for all. We decided to solve it in a way that would save the end users money. We decided to solve it in a way that would give designers, architects and developers flexibility to build great solutions with awesome quality. And so Truffler was born.
We quickly recognized that in order to provide the maximum amount of value and quality to our customers it didn't make any sense to reinvent the wheel. So instead of building a search engine from scratch we used one of the best, if not the best, existing search engines out there, ElasticSearch along with other great projects such as node.js. Using these components we take care of configuration, extend them with additional functionality and offer client APIs and integrations.
Truffler is offered both as a hosted service (Software as a Service) and as dedicated servers for rent. The REST API is technology agnostic. That is, you can use it from .NET, Java, PHP Ruby, Javascript or any other technology of your choosing. However, our primary focus in terms of client APIs are for .NET and users of Truffler are automatically entitled to a license for our client API for .NET that can best be described as... amazing.
