Why manufacturers need your zip code,Area,IMEI, Locale,Timezone..All they want is to identify you as possible as they could.
Furthermore they collect Device S/N,Model number..and Location. So manufacturers will always know where you've been.
What's the purpose manufacturers doing this? Maybe for sales promotion or data mining. Actually they have no rights to collect personal data for any reason.
