  • CRM 5.0 Marketing – BW integrated topics summary

    • In Campaign Management, 3 scenarios are included.
    1. When you create a new campaign, BW updates the campaign hierarchy for further analysis.
    2. After you assign some objects to the campaign element, you need to plan some key figures for separating and putting emphasis on sth., then you need to perform this action either in CRM or BW system. If you do key figure planning in BW, it will first fetch data from CRM (or you can say CRM transfer the data to BW).
    3. In the last but one step "Generate activities/Interaction Objects", BW system will update activities info for statistics and reporting.
    4. Still we can find some points related with BW when we calculate Campaign Costs, because we need BW to assign the account information.

       

    • In Scenario Planning, 1 scenario is included.
    1. When you compare different scenarios for evaluating/analyzing the related key figures such as Budget, Cost, Resources, expected ROI, etc., BW is used to read and forward data to CRM system for data analysis.

       

    • In Trade Promotion Management, 3 scenarios are included.
    1. When you create trade promotion, marketing hierarchy will be correspondingly updated, as a trade promotion indicates a lot of marketing hierarchy information changes.
    2. Except the same key figure planning step, in this situation we will need another baseline reading step before planning. And for this baseline reading, we can only refer to the BW system, which contains what we want.
    3. When you evaluate the trade promotion, we need to update the trade promotion attributes in the BW system, and once again, for the attitude of statistics and reporting.

       

    • In Campaign Automation, 3 scenarios are included.
    1. If you want to assign Response Prediction Model, conditions etc. to optimization element in the automation process, you should firstly create the Resource Prediction Model in the BW system.
    2. Similarly, you also need to execute Response Prediction Model in BW system during the CRM system executing the campaigns' steps, because the execution results are fetched from BW.
    3. Afterwards, you will also need a activities update as in the Campaign Management, because Campaign Automation also generates the interaction objects.

       

    • In Leads Management, 2 scenarios are included.
    1. After one lead is created, the lead's information will be updated in the BW system, for statistics and reporting.
    2. After you have created opportunities, you need BW to update opportunities pipeline and choose the top one to use.

       

    • In Digital Asset Management, 1 scenario with 2 steps is included.
    1. After you perform a download of one digital asset, the record information will be updated in the BW system and after that, an analyzed digital asset usage may occur.

       

    • In Business Partner Segmentation, 2 scenarios are included.
    1. We create BW report on info cube in BW and then we can create data source in CRM Customer segmentation.
    2. We execute BW queries so that we can create target group by setting restrict conditions.
