I’m going to change my name tomorrow. Does this sound odd? Let me explain. Since I was a baby, my name has been a label that has identified me as I grew. However, I have changed a lot. Most of all, my ideas on life have developed. By the time I become an adult, I was clearly not the same person I was as a baby. So why should my name be the same? I’ve decided to change it to reflect my changes as a person. Some people tell me they don't approve of this plan. They think I am disrespecting my parents, who named me.
