Customer Support is a strategic differentiator for Microsoft. Our organization (ECO) builds and manages a very broad portfolio of complex distributed systems necessary for CSS and Engineering Groups in Microsoft to deliver awesome customer support experiences for Consumers, Business Customers, and Business Partners. We cover the breadth of areas, including Incident Management, Knowledge and Content Management, Diagnostics Systems, Community Forums, Customer Interaction Services, Analytics, Self-Service Portals, Customer Support Engineer/Agent applications, etc. We are very much a geo distributed team, with substantial engineering presence in Redmond, Shanghai, Hyderabad and Charlotte.We’re looking for a highly talented SDE lead to be based in Shanghai, leading the development of next generation Authentication, Authorization, Fortification and Compliance technologies that will serve as the foundation for our next generation applications and web services.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
• Passion for attracting, growing and retaining high performing talent and building a top notch team.
• Champion engineering excellence across the organization and drive innovation.
• High customer empathy.
• Strong technical background in developing web applications, services, and end-to-end solution for customers. Prior experience in Authentication and Authorization related technologies is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Technology Stack is preferred: e.g. ASP.NET MVC, .NET, WCF, LINQ, ADO.NET/EF/oData, SQL, JQuery, HTML/CSS, IIS, Live ID, Azure, etc.
• Solid C# development. C++ experience is a plus.
• Technical acumen to influence the architecture and design of globally distributed systems and services.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with teams in Redmond, Charlotte, Shanghai and Hyderabad to define and deliver the next generation support experiences.
• Ability to strike an appropriate balance between business requirements and technical constraints.
• Ability to work with vendors and external partners and deliver timely solutions.
• 5+ years of development experience.
