耶胡达•阿米亥（Yehuda Amichai,1924-2000）1924年出生于德国乌尔兹堡。是公认的以色列当代最伟大的诗人，也是二十世纪最重要的国际诗人之一。他的诗透明而睿智，善于把日常与神圣、爱情与战争、个人与民族等因素糅合起来。其诗多涉人类的生存环境和普遍命运，其想象力丰富得惊人，具有深远的哲学意味和语言渗透力。出版了诗集《诗：1948-1962》《时间》等十余部。多次获得国际国内文学奖。

人的一生没有足够的时间
去完成每一件事情。
没有足够的空间
去容纳每一个欲望。《传道书》的说法是错误的。
人不得不在恨的同时也在爱，
用同一双眼睛欢笑并且哭泣
用同一双手抛掷石块
并且堆聚石块，
在战争中制造爱并且在爱中制造战争。
憎恨并且宽恕，追忆并且遗忘
规整并且搅混，吞食并且消化——
那历史用漫长年代
造就的一切。
人的一生没有足够的时间。
当他失去了他就去寻找
当他找到了他就遗忘
当他遗忘了他就去爱
当他爱了他就开始遗忘。
他的灵魂是博学的
并且非常专业，
但他的身体始终是业余的，

A man doesn't have time in his life
to have time for everything.
He doesn't have seasons enough to have
a season for every purpose. Ecclesiastes

A man needs to love and to hate at the same moment,
to laugh and cry with the same eyes,
with the same hands to throw stones and to gather them,
to make love in war and war in love.
And to hate and forgive and remember and forget,
to arrange and confuse, to eat and to digest
