驾照笔试需要阅读厚厚一本加州驾驶手册，图文并茂，非常实用。还有大量的考试题模拟练习。我自己在国内开车十年了，感觉交规糊里糊涂。另外国内的道路标示比较简单，约束少，大家开车都很随意，交通事故频发。
我考了两次没通过，第一次是左转压了双黄线，我理解是转弯小了。第二次是小错太多，总结如下：
（1）make full stops behind limit lines;
（2）begin and end turns in correct lane;
（3）do not cut turns too short;
（4）keep in center of lane
（5）use proper turn signal prior to lane changes
（6）look over approapriate shoulder prior to lane changes
（7）steer smoothly
（8）yield to oncoming traffic when appropriate
对比我在国内考驾照，这里严格多了。
