    What is being collected and why?

    Oracle Support strongly recommends using Trace File Analyzer (TFA) Collector for collecting data. TFA Collector collects only relevant information based on the time of the event, so the size of collected data will be much smaller.  TFA Collector collects all CRS log files, ASM trace files, database trace files, OSWatcher output, and CHM (Cluster Health Monitor) output.

    The TFA Collector has been included in Autonomous Health Framework (AHF).

    Safe Harbor Statement: Oracle will use this information to help diagnose the cause of the issue. In many cases this set of information will be sufficient for diagnosis - in some cases additional specific diagnostic data may be required at a later stage.

    Action Plan

    1.  Download the latest available version of AHF: Download AHF

    2.  Install the latest stable version of AHF (non-beta), the latest stable version of TFA will be installed as part of AHF.

    3.  As the RDBMS DB home owner, run the TFA collection using the following command:

    tfactl diagcollect -srdc dbrac

    This will prompt for an Incident Timestamp (YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS) to trim and collect data from 4 hours before and 1 hour after provided time.

    4.  Upload the resulting zip file to the Service Request (SR)

    Do not rename or repackage the TFA collection.
    The output from the above command will provide the location of the TFA collection for each and every node.
    Upload ALL of the TFA collections that were generated.
